I have just uploaded a page on the Auxiliary Section of the SoftWare Audio Console to the Mixer in a Box site.
I also did a couple of other tweaks while I was fussing with the site. I reordered the left column nav section in a way that I feel is more logical and added one more category to the coming attractions section. I also retitled the video page since there are now two videos to view.
Check out the new pages at Mixer in a Box.

I have recently been adding some content to my Mixer in a Box site. I have just uploaded a page about the scenes system incorporated in the SAC software. This scenes system is very powerful. The resolution of the scenes system allows one to control a single event on a single mixer up to a global snapshot of all twenty five mixing consoles in the Software Audio Console software. Read more about the uses of the scenes system on the Scenes Page at Mixer in a Box.

I have added a Mixer Views page to the Mixer in a Box site. This goes into some detail about the various views that are available in the virtual mixer. I am illustrating these new pages with screen shot cuts of the various parts of the mixer. I even got a little fancy and made a hover pop-up enlargement of one of the images.
I have at least two more pages planned for this site. The next page will be about effects patching and the scenes system. Then I think that I will write an article about using the virtual mixer in real live situations. I will probably work some more on this tomorrow, and then on to the next project.

I had heard about Squidoo lenses several times but did not really know what they were. I investigated Squidoo last week. I discovered that Squidoo Lenses are a cross between a wiki and a blog.
The Squidoo Lens is a page about a specific subject. Authors are free to write about nearly any subject that is not on the SquidDon’t list. That is the part that is like a wiki, but there can be any number of pages on any given subject like a blog.
My first lens is about the Software Audio Console. I talk a little about mixing in general and a little about SAC. I posted a few pictures that I have taken and have a comment section asking if my readers are ready to give up their hardware mixers. I also posted the youtube video about SAC live at Harrah’s in Los Vegas. The link to the page is http://www.squidoo.com/mixerinabox if you would care to check it out.
The site has a very interesting business model. The put advertising on the pages and distribute half of the proceeds to the publishers using the site. This allows them to have a great deal of content on the site that draws significant traffic and produces an income stream. Of their half they donate a percentage to charity off the top and pay the bills with the remainder. The half that they return to the publishers is devided according to a formula that they have devised that rewards the publishers with the most popular lenses. I am thinking of incorporating a similar system with my Here’s Our Site free site offers. They also pay for referrals so if you think that you might be interested in joining in the fun please click on my affiliate link embedded in this sentence.

The new Mixer in a Box Blog is fully operational at this time. I may investigate adding a few pictures, or I may put up a gallery on the main site. I did complete the template work and learned a bit more about working with the WordPress theme. I also added a new info page with links to my other sites and the developer’s SAC site. I included also a system integrator’s site that offers packaged SAC systems. My vision for the service offered by Mixer in a Box is more of a custom build site than a packaged system site. One of the attractive features of the SoftWare Audio Console system is that you can use the same mixer with full features with inputs for just a few items on up through 72 full stereo channels. It just depends on the hardware that you select. It is possible for a solo or duo act to go out with a laptop and a few inputs and have the full quality and features that are enjoyed by a full concert system. I invite anyone who is interested in live sound, digital audio, or computers to visit the blog and site.

When I put up Mixer In A Box I also bought two .info domain names. When I put up the site I forwarded these sites to Mixer In A Box. I suspect that they may not get indexed without an actual page associated with the domain name, so I put up pages with tickler information and linking to Mixer In A Box. These .info domains are Cheap Digital Mixer and Live Sound Computer. I hope that this will improve the possibility of traffic from these sites so that they fulfill their intended purpose. Since the three are a family of sites I used the same design for all three sites.
These sites all promote mixing live sound in a virtual environment using the SoftWare Audio Console software package. The SAC systems allow you to mix live sound on a computer with all of the features of a big digital hardware console. This could be the wave of the future as far as mixing live sound is concerned.

I have a new website up on the web. There is still a good deal of work to do on the site, but it is up there and waiting for visitors. The site is http://www.mixerinabox.com/ if you would care to check it out. I also purchased to .info feeder domains that are now set up to redirect to the site. They areĀ http://www.cheapdigitalmixer.info and http://www.livesoundcomputer.info. This site is about the Software Audio Console or SAC system. I have built one and put it into service. I offer to assemble systems for those that don’t feel competent or do not have the time to do it themselves. Please stop by and check out the newest member of my family of site.

I will probably add a new site to my stable in the near future. I have assembled a tool for my business, a Software Audio Console. My primary business is in the field of sound reinforcement. The Software Audio Console, or SAC system, is a full featured virtual digital mixing environment that runs on a Windows PC. I have used the system for my last two contracts and intend to use it as my primary console in the future.
The new site will offer the service of a system integrator. I will offer to build SAC systems to those interested in owning the system, but who do not feel competent or do not have the timeĀ to assemble their own system. This would allow me to indulge to of my areas of interest, building computers and producing sound. I will keep you posted on developments and show off the new site if I decide to put it up.
